Live Recordings
A great way of building a rich and unique song is to capture multiple elements at the same time. This can bring life to the music and will add the much needed human touch to the record. This is also an effective method for saving valuable time in the studio. Visualising the idea first, then performing it together whilst capturing it with intent is a huge part of my workflow. Recording instruments using analog gear to get the juiciest signals to work with later on in the process. Where as the editing takes place, I love editing audio. My editing of those raw signals will elevate the song to a modern bangin’ standard while keeping the natural and rich vibe.
Programming and working in the box.
Your song might need some lush strings or rich synths. Maybe the song should be 100% electronic. This is made possible utilising my programming skills using both hardware and software. I grew up programming music on Nintendo Game Boys and definitely know my way around modern production techniques in most DAWS. Today I mainly use Ableton Live together with analog and digital synths and drum machines to achieve that goal.
Your song deserve to sound great
Taking your recordings and elevating your song to the next level would be a pleasure. I believe a mix should sound obvious when it’s finished. This can be hard to achieve after countless hours of producing it by yourself. Let me take that of your mind (and ears).
Creating and highlighting emotions.
I believe a mixer should bring out the emotions in a song, A balanced mix can be the most boring and bland experience. It can definitely ruin a great song.
